I had been working on the mantra Asankh Jap for several months and I thought it was a good mantra to end the Album. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the piano I had previously recorded and I didn’t know how to manage to finish this track. I played this Rhodes part and it looked good but it changed the spirit of the song. I felt I needed to understand more what I was actually chanting. So I used a translation of the mantra, I adjusted some parts of it and it proved much better in English. The strength of the mantra remains somehow and it created a finish which resonates well with the eleventh body. Hervé de Ratuld’s bass line added a classy material to this end.
